Udawalawe Wild Elephant & Conservation Safari

The Experience

We depart early from your hotel and head inland to Udawalawe National Park, a global hotspot for wild Asian elephants. Because the park landscape is so clear and open, it is incredibly easy to spot massive elephant herds, deer, and crocodiles wandering right past the vehicle.

After a break for lunch, visit the heartwarming Elephant Transit Home. Stand on a secure wooden viewing deck to watch dozens of playful, orphaned baby elephants run out into the open area to be bottle-fed milk by wildlife rangers before they are rehabilitated back into the wild. Return safely to your hotel by late afternoon.
